White Oak is a light to medium brown wood, typically with an olive cast. The almost white to light brown sapwood is not always clearly demarcated from the heartwood.
The grain is straight, with an uneven texture.
The white oak panels with baltic birch core are veneered on 2 sides and grade A/1. We thus obtain a side of superior quality and a side, of very high quality. The veneer type, Rift Cut, results in a linear wood grain and will reduce the effect of cathedrals. The result is a veneer of exceptional quality and a lined pattern.
The core of Russian birch plywood, also known as multi-ply plywood, has more sheets (or plies), which are also thinner, than traditional plywood. Multiply plywood is made entirely of birch, a hardwood. These characteristics give it great rigidity and excellent stability.
The veneer and the assembly of the panels are made in Quebec. Russian birch plywood comes from Eastern Europe or the Baltic countries.
