Bois traité ACQ - 4"
Our DesignWood treated wood offers a full line of eco-treated wood products that do not contain arsenic, chromium or other chemicals that are considered hazardous. It is manufactured using an ACQ pressure treatment process (alkaline, copper, quaternary) offering you all the solidity and durability necessary to fabricate the frame for your outdoor layout.
The preservatives used for our treated wood meet the standards established by Health Canada and provide additional protection against fungus and insect attack and extend the life of the wood. The pressure treatment used on our treated wood allows a deeper and uniform penetration of the preservative, thus increasing its resistance to degradation and extending its service life.
DesignWood treated wood has a trendy cedar shade. The pigment is added to the pressure treatment in order to ensure the uniform impregnation of the solutions in the wood fiber. No doubt, this treated wood will go perfectly with your landscaping.
Although the wood has been treated to provide additional protection against weather and insects, it is important to apply a high quality stain to preserve the wood for as long as possible. We recommend, among others, Sansin DEC products.
From structure to finished product
The treated wood can be used for the construction of terraces, fences, garden pavilions, playground equipment, docks, as well as several other outdoor projects.
Treated wood is often used for the structure of terraces in Red Cedar, Ipe or Garapa.
Caution: It is not recommended to use treated wood for places where it will be in permanent contact with drinking water, if it can become a component of a food (in the case of a hive for example) or in the compost
