Cherry - Rough Lumber
Cherry - Rough Lumber
Cherry wood is a light pinkish brown when freshly cut, turning to a medium reddish brown over time and when exposed to light. Its grain is generally straight and easy to work. It has a fine, uniform texture with a moderate natural luster.
Cherry is known to be one of the best all-around woods for handling. It is stable, straight-grained and machines well. The only difficulties usually arise if the wood is stained, as it can sometimes give stained results. It is recommended to use a sanding sealer before staining or using a gel-based stain.
