Teak (botanical name: Tectona grandis) is a precious wood. It is appreciated for its fine and tight grain. Additionally, it is known for being impervious, meaning it is highly resistant to fungi, insects, and water. Teak is mainly used for shipbuilding, making garden furniture, cabinetry, and flooring. Originally from Asia, Teak has been introduced to all continents through cultivation known as Plantation Teak. Burmese Teak is a wild-grown wood from natural forests in Myanmar and Thailand region. It is considered the best quality, with superior resistance compared to Plantation Teak. Its colour ranges from golden to medium brown.

Rough Lumber

Rough boards directly from sawmills in various thicknesses, lengths, and widths. The dimensions of each board vary depending on the received batches. Wood classification and measurement are done according to industry standards (NHLA).

Rough wood is available in the store (surfaced two sides) and in the lumberyard (unsurfaced).

Customers can select the wood themselves.

Prices are available per board foot (BF). 1 BF is equivalent to a volume of 1 inch thick x 12 inches wide x 1 foot long.

Thicknesses are expressed in quarters of an inch (example: 4/4 = 1 inch, 5/4 = 1 ¼ inches, 8/4 = 2 inches, 12/4 = 3 inches).

Widths are rounded to inches.

Lengths are rounded to feet.
